We were able to relax in our own space after a day of exploring.
The hotel's shuttle service to town runs infrequently, and it can be quite crowded, so be sure to plan your trips accordingly as we faced a long wait.

Fine open-air onsen bath in the room.
While the onsen experience was enjoyable, I found the hotel itself quite dated. The decor showed considerable wear and tear, disappointing. The staff's level of service varied. I often felt overlooked during interactions that required English communication.

relaxing, relaxing, relaxing
The open-air baths were an absolute haven for relaxation, offering amazing views that enhanced the experience. I was thrilled by the abundance of amenities in my Superior Twin Room, including complimentary drinks and snacks, made unwinding more fun. The lounge area was a perfect spot to sip on some warm tea after soaking in the tranquil atmosphere.

The private onsen in our room was perfect after a long day at the nearby Kusatsu International Ski Place. We loved the beautiful garden and the free coffee and tea available. The vibe was super relaxing, and the staff were friendly. Don't miss out on the outdoor reserved onsens!
One downside was that the shuttle service to the main area ran infrequently, which could lead to longer waits, especially if you're planning on exploring more than just the ryokan.

The private onsen experience was really good, especially the semi-open-air bath with a tranquil atmosphere with fine views. Fresh coffee and a complete tea set in the room added a good touch. The queue for the private open-air bath was inconvenient, and the shuttle service to nearby attractions had an infrequent schedule, leading to some delays in our outings. Food, while good, could have offered more variety.

Celebrated New Year's Eve at this ryokan and it was amazing. Loved the outdoor baths and the beautiful Japanese garden. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly, making us feel at home. The shuttle bus to nearby towns was very convenient. We also enjoyed the traditional Japanese breakfast and the complementary noodles at night.
The dinner was not as great as we expected, but it wasn't terrible either. Also, some rooms faced a main road and parking lot, which can be a bit noisy. we had a great time and would definitely recommend this ryokan for a relaxing getaway with beautiful mountain views.
